Easy Homemade Pizza Without Oven (Tawa Version)


Ingredients (same as before)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ¾ cup warm water

Quick Pizza Sauce (5-minute version)

  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 clove garlic (minced, optional)
    → Mix well and your quick sauce is ready!

Toppings

  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped onions, capsicum, olives, or chicken cubes
  • Oregano + chili flakes for garnish

Steps (No-Oven Pizza on Tawa)

  1. Make the Dough
    • Mix all dry ingredients, then add warm water and oil.
    • Knead well for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
    • Cover and let it rest for 1 hour (till doubled).
  2. Shape the Pizza Base
    • Roll out a ball of dough into a ½-inch-thick round.
    • Prick lightly with a fork so it doesn’t puff up.
  3. Pre-Cook the Base
    • Heat a tawa (or large pan) on low flame.
    • Place the rolled dough and cook one side for 2 minutes until light golden.
    • Flip and turn off the flame.
  4. Assemble the Pizza
    • On the cooked side, spread the sauce evenly.
    • Add cheese, toppings, and more cheese on top.
  5. Cook on the Tawa
    • Place the pizza back on the tawa (uncooked side down).
    • Cover with a lid.
    • Cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes — until the cheese melts and base is golden brown.
  6. Garnish & Serve
    • Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes.
    • Slice and enjoy your crispy-soft tawa pizza!
